Company Background

Andrew Martin Haire founded AMH in 1973 as a repair center and truck equipment house. In 1983, AMH became a manufacturer of van bodies and has built a reputation as a premium quality producer of sheet and post construction as well as FRP van bodies. AMH entered the Moving and Storage industry in the early 80's and within a decade became and is still the leader in the industry. In 1992, the company became an approved vendor for Penske and Ryder and provides substantial product to Enterprise, Idealease, Paclease and other rental and leasing concerns.

By the year 2000, the company positioned itself for substantial growth and diversification of product lines. In 2001, AMH created three new divisions, including a Platform/Stake/Dump product line, a Refrigerated Van line, and a stand-alone Repair and Service facility in a state-of-the art 25,000 square-foot plant. AMH started production of Refrigerated units in late fall of 2002. In addition to these expansions in 2001, AMH acquired a 25,000 square foot building for Raw Material and Inventory Control. This facility is situated in the middle of our campus and serves the various lines.

In January of 2006, AMH entered the Mobile Storage market, opening a facility on Ballpark Road in Thomasville. This plant has a capacity of 40 units per week. To serve our customers on the West Coast, the company opened a facility in Mound House, Nevada in January 2007, also with a capacity of 40 units per week.

AMH's five facilities are presently positioned on 18 acres with a total of 150,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space.
